Trends in the lamb price
The producer price of Class A2/A3 lamb was in total 1,3% lower during the week of 11 June compared to the previous week, according to AMT.
The decline can among others be the result of a lower demand after the end month week in the market.
The price was 2,9% higher compared to a month ago and 14,3% higher year-on-year.
Based on long term trends over the past 20 years, the chance is 70,0% for a higher monthly price in June compared to May and 89,0% for a higher price in July 2021 compared to June.
The average price of Class C2/C3 mutton was in total 0,2% lower in the week of 11 June 2021 due to a weaker demand after the end month week in the market. The price was 11,2% higher compared to a month ago and 30,0% higher against the same week a year ago.
The average price of feeder lamb was in total 0,6 % higher in the week of 18 June 2021. The increase can among others be contributed to a stronger demand in the market, which exceeded the supply.
Compared to a month ago, the average price was 2,0% lower and 18,8% higher year-on-year.
